Not many people knew of Melanie Oudin, a 17 year old tennis player from Georgia, a couple of days ago but now who hasn’t heard of her? This fiery chick came out of nowhere to beat several of the top women’s seeds and today, won her way to the quarterfinals. She has shown a lot of heart in all of her matches; many of her wins coming after losing the first set. Her shoes say “Believe” and that is exactly what she has inspired millions of tennis fans to do. Her big heart and scrappy play are what make Melanie Oudin Play Strong® Athlete of the Week.
